Guest Reviews

From Nattergal’s Facebook page

“A big shout out for the Dawn Chorus Tour at Boothby, this morning. A Chiffchaff was in full song as we set off at 05:00 and within a few minutes we'd identified the different calls of Whitethroat, Wren, Yellowhammer and Blue Tit (of course), and spotted Skylarks and Fallow Deer. Over the walk we had lovely sightings of a couple of Grey Herons, a Little Egret, Buzzards, a Kestrel and a Yellowhammer (posing for us on a telephone wire). Reed Bunting, Willow Warblers and Long Tailed Tits were also around, and I know I've missed many out.

All the way round we were fed interesting wildlife facts, stories and snippets from the 'Lloyd the Ranger' app which we'd downloaded before setting off, and which I thoroughly recommend as for a limited time after purchase it comes with post-tour tea, coffee, croissant and pain-aux-chocolat! Seriously, thanks Lloyd, great job, as ever.”

“Attended a Walking Tour last Saturday. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The Site Manager couldn't have been more amenable. Wilding sites are invaluable and Boothby is a gem. Their future plans are incredible. Please support them in any way you can. I'll definitely be visiting again and again.”

“I joined a rewilding tour with the site manager on Saturday. The knowledge shared, future plans and general enthusiasm for this site left me uplifted and optimistic. This is such an exciting project for Lincolnshire and UK which goes beyond conservation and challenges us to think about how nature can be part of the economic framework and not so reliant on charity, grants and subsidies. Fascinating and challenging. I hope to visit over the coming months and years..”
